Company History

Where it all started...

Les Petits was established, as the children’s arm of renowned theatre company Les Enfants Terribles, in 2013. Founders Oliver Lansley & James Seager wanted to use their vast theatrical backgrounds to create wondrous experiences for children and help inspire the next generation of theatre-goers.

The company's first production was ‘Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs’, which debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013. After receiving rave reviews and being presented with the Primary Times Children's Choice Award, the show went on to tour internationally before returning to the UK for a sequel, ‘The Magic Cutlass’.

Next up, ‘Adventures in Wonderland’ presented a new take on the classic, creating a totally unique, and incredibly immersive multi-sensory experience for ages 5-10. Designed especially for children, this show ran in conjunction with Les Enfants Terribles' Olivier-nominated ’Alice’s Adventures Underground’ presenting a rare opportunity for our younger audience to be included in our “grown-up” productions.

Our most recent collaboration was the adaptation of number one best-selling children's author, David Walliams. ‘The First Hippo on the Moon’ debuted at The Royal Hippodrome Theatre in December, before setting off on a UK tour in 2017.
